sheesh.

You would think, that with a global pandemic going on, I would be able to priortize enough time to write a blog post.

Apparently not.

Good news for y’all, I keep a running list of potential topics and although they might be a little dated, it’s what I am working with!

So, today, I am going to introduce you to the newest addition to my pet family (only 3+ months late). I could VERY easily talk to you about the craziness of the last two months of pandemic life. However, we’ve all been living it, who needs to hear more about THAT! I could chat with you about the yard work or planting I have been madly tackling this week. But that’s not very fun either at this point…there are a lot of little stubby plants around the place. I’ll update on that when you can actually see them doing something! The list is lengthy. In all honesty though, writing about a pet right now is a much better choice for “Feel Good” topics!

So, WAAAAYYYY back in February, before we ever even had heard the word Covid-19 and were still making summer plans and thinking about going out with friends and family and on dates (oh, there’s another story I will add to the list to share with you!), I had a visitor start showing up. He was VERY vocal about the fact that he did not appreciate living outside.

After a couple of attempts, I was able to trap him and with the help of my amazing vet, Dr. Bishop, we were able to sneak him right in on her lunch break! He had definitely had a rough go of it living outside. He had been in a couple of decent fights and obtained some war wounds for sure.

So, needless to say, this is the newest addition to my little pet family. Who knew that in less than a year, I would become the owner to not only one, but two cats. For the record, since I officially trapped him on Valentine’s Day, his name is Roameo (Roamie Poe for short) and he has been great. He messes with Solo just enough to keep him on his toes.

The most hilarious part, is now that he lives with us full time, Daisy’s obsession with him is completely over. It’s astonishing to me that she can go from wanting nothing more than to stare at them, to acting like they don’t even exist.

So, we are just one big, happy family now! I am still definitely not a cat person, but I can not lie, they do make me laugh occasionally.

I promise, the next post will have something to actually do with the house or the place. I also promise that I won’t wait 6 months to write again.

Maybe I shouldn’t make promises I might not be able to keep.

Peace out peeps
